The Kentucky Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers board members held an informal meeting on February 14, 2006 at the Capitol Plaza in Frankfort in conjunction with the Legislative Reception.
President Margret Skaggs called the meeting to order. The upcoming KACTFO spring conference was the main topic of discussion. Margret informed every one of the dress restrictions for the Corvette Museum tour, no open toe shoes, purses, backpacks, fanny packs or cameras.
Treasurer, Mary Lynn gave a brief summary of current registrations for the conference and finances.
The Board Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday March 14, 2006. Everyone should meet in the hotel lobby at 6:30. Goody bags will be stuffed after the dinner.
"Bowling Night" was discussed. There will be a shuttle available to the bowling alley and back to the hotel on a regular basis. Bowling shirts for the board were discussed. Becky Carroll volunteered to check on those.
The theme for the convention will be "The 50's". Everyone was encouraged to dress up and have fun! Kathy Dillow and Glenna Helm are organizing activities for the conference. Everyone was encouraged to bring a baby or youth photo of themselves to be used in one of the activities.
Registration was discussed. It was decided that board members should not work the registration table while meetings were in session. Vendors and vendor areas were discussed.
The last order of business discussed was presenting retired Past President Treasurer's a plaque to show appreciation for their service. Becky Carroll agreed to check on that. Those Treasurers that have retired are Harvey Hawkins, Naomi Staeklin, Karen Argo and Jean Logsdon.
Kathy Dryden made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Kim Muse seconded the motion.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Dryden
