President Kim Muse called the meeting to order. Introduced the new Treasurer from Clark County, Henry Branham.
Mary Lynn gave the Treasurer’s Report, showing a balance of $17,026.01 as of July 19, 2004. Paula Guinn made the Motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report, Peggy Heflin Seconded, and Motion Carried.
Peggy Heflin made the Motion to accept the Minutes from April 23, 2004 Meeting, Martha Richardson Seconded, Motion Carried.
New Committee appointments:

> Nomination: Lisa Buerkley, Becky Carroll, Karen Agro, Peggy Heflin & Mary Allen Hedges (Anyone interestedin being on the Board should contact someone on the nomination committee)
KACO Conference will be November 17-19, 2004 in Owensboro, Ky.
Spring Conference will be at Drawbridge Inn, Covington, Ky - April 27-29, 2005 with the Golf Scramble being on April 26, 2005. There will be more information later on.
It was announced that our scholarship winner was Katie Lynn Frazee from Shelby County High School.
Lonnie Campbell from the Governor's Office of Local Development (GOLD) spoke to us concerning legislation changes, Homeland Security and electronic reporting.
The Auditor of Public Accounts Office's Representative Alicia Boyd discussed GASB 34, MD&A, and answered many questions provided by the group.
Lisa Whitaker from Kentucky Retirement Systems discussed the many important changes within the retirement system.
Peggy Heflin made the motion to adjourn the meeting, Lisa Buerkley seconded. Motion carried.
