KACTFO AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP
Winner
The scholarship winner this year was Hardin County.

Each year, the Kentucky Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers awards a $1,000.00 scholarship to a graduating high school senior of one particular county in Kentucky. This year, Hardin County was awarded this honor.

Hardin County Treasurer, Carolyn Ritchie, presented the scholarship to Mr. Cliff Miller who is attending Elizabethtown Community & Technical College. Mr. Miller ranked 125th in a class of 360 at Central Hardin High School, with a grade point average of 3.34. Cliff is majoring in Psychology and plans to go onto Law School.

James Driver Accepts New Position
James Driver has accepted a position with the United States Treasury Department beginning June 21, 2010. His last day with the State will be June 18, 2010. He will be serving as an IRS Federal, State, and Local Specialist for the Mid-Atlantic Group which covers the states of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and DC. His office will be located in Lexington, KY.
A replacement has yet to be determined. In the interim, you will be able to contact Gerald V, Howard, Director of the Division of Local Government Services at GeraldV.Howard@ky.gov and at 502-564-6879

Tony Wilder, former Judge/Executive of the Boyle County Fiscal Court, offically begins his appointment May 1, 2008. As the Judge/Executive of Boyle County since 1994, he is extremely familiar with the issues county treasurers and finance officers face.
