Hello everyone!
The Board of Directors of the Kentucky Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers cordially
invites all county officials to attend their 27th Annual Spring Conference in Frankfort, Kentucky, on April
14, 15, & 16, 2010. We will be approved for approximately 9.75 training hours for eligible elected officials.
Dress for this year's conference will be business casual. We will tour the capitol on Wednesday you will
need to have a photo I.D. for this tour. Each conference attendee is being asked to bring an item
representative of his or her county. These will be given as door prizes throughout the conference.
On Wednesday, enjoy a night at the races. Post time for the "Cash Keeper Classic" is 7:00 p.m. There
will be 5 separate horse races with betting booths, odds charts, prizes and refreshments!! We encourage
you to wear your finest "racing attire", prizes will be given and photos will be taken.
We will travel to Keeneland on Friday, April 16th, after we adjourn our business meeting, for an afternoon
of real racing. There is a $5.00 general admission charge, which you will be responsible for.
This year the nominating committee will meet to select a slate of officers at 4:30 on Thursday afternoon.
Anyone interested in becoming a board member will need to fill out a nomination form and return it to the
registration desk or a nomination committee member listed on the form no later than Thursday April 15, at
12:00 noon. If you cannot attend the conference please mail your nomination to Kathy Dryden, Fleming
County Treasurer, 201 Court Square, Flemingsburg, KY 41041 no later than April 2, 2010.
Online registration is available again this year. Just fill out the registration form and an
invoice will be mailed to you. Please note the "advance" and "late" registration fees on the online form and
the mailed forms. A registration form is required for each attendee. Please make copies for your County
Judge, Magistrates, Commissioners and any staff person who would benefit from the training and would
like to attend
Registration for the Conference is $125 for members and $150 for non-members. Everyone is responsible
for making their own reservations at the Capital Plaza in Frankfort, Kentucky by March 24, 2010 in order
to receive the discounted room rate of $79.00. Room rates cannot be guaranteed after this date. Be sure to
mention that you are with the Kentucky County Treasurer's Association to receive the discounted room
rate. You can make your reservations by calling 502-227-5100.
Cancellation Policy: K.A.C.T.F.O. will send a full refund to attendees who cancel two weeks prior to the
conference of April 14, 2010. No refunds will be issued after March 31, 2010.
Association dues for 2010 are currently due. Membership costs are $50.00 for Treasurers, Finance
Officers, and Treasurer Assistants, and $30.00 for Associate Members.
