The Local Issues Conference is just around the corner and this will offer the first opportunity for me to call an Association meeting for our members of KACTFO. The meeting will be held August 4, 2008 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Galt House East in Louisville in conjunction with the Governors Conference. At our last convention, the majority voted to amend the bylaws to allow the Assistant to the County Treasurer to be a "Regular Members" of KACTFO, which means you now are voting members. Please pick up your copies or have whoever is in attendance to do that for you. They are a wonderful resource! The completed Members Directory was handed out at the spring conference, unfortunately we did not have enough counties submit photographs of the Treasurers and Finance Officers so there are no photographs in the Directory. All other county information is included and makes for a handy directory for all of us to use. If you did not attend the spring conference and would like a copy of the directory please send an email requesting a copy to lctreasurer@alltel.net. There will be a small charge of $3.00 to cover shipping.
